Hilux CV repco replacement, boot rubbing safe?

Postby Yianni107 on Wed, 08 Jun 2022 6:52 +0000

Hi I manages to replace my cv to a repco one, I've noticed it's a little bit bigger which causes it to rub when tyre is off ground, it is rubbing on the bottom of the strut mount on the lower control arm.

This cv is specified to suit vehicles with a lift of 50mm or less, which my car is under.

My question is, is this safe or will this tear my boot once I get a wheel lift? The factory one gets awful close on the other side.
