Rattling noise in 2010 d4d engine

Hi, I have a 2010 hilux diesel d4d. The vechile has 530000 km on it and has until recently not given a days trouble. I now have a rattling noise when I pick up speed. The noise appears at 2200 rpms and then lasts for a second or two until I am past +- 2300 rpms. I have told that it is the balancing shaft. I would appreciate some advice.

If its done over half a million km it will need new injectors if not already done.
Get a engine diagnostic done at a reputable diesel specialist or toyo dealer.
Or you can pick up a cheap OB2 reader for cheap and learn how to read the data yourself
I would put money on flogged injectors however
