2WD Low Rider Hilux Rear Differential Ring Gear Size
Posted: Thu, 04 Mar 2021 12:26 +0000Hi, does anyone know the size of the ring gear and bearings of the gen 8 2wd Hilux low rider with 5 bolt wheel? I would like to add a traction device to the open rear diff, either a helical gear LSD or a locker. But before finalising either type I would like to see what options I have and to figure that out I need mainly the ring gear size. If it is the 8inch ring gear there are two journal bearing sizes 45mm and 50mm so knowing that also helps. Or does it have the 8.2inch ring gear? Any help is appreciated!
I believe 4WD Hilux and even 2WD high rider Hilux with 6 bolt wheels have a visually larger differential case compared to the 2WD low rider model.
