Heya all,
I'm installing a front Lokka in my 2017 SR, so I need an N80 front differential service manual (inc disassemble/reassemble instructions) if anyone has this available? or just torque specs for ring gear etc.

I've installed a rear Lokka previously in my 2003 model and the included instructions had all the torque specs but this time it only has clearance measurements to check.

Hope someone can help otherwise I'll have to subscribe to the https://toyotamanuals.com.au/subscription/document/16490

I think the N70 diff is the same - some info on this here: viewtopic.php?t=26707

So that might make your search easier. There is also a lot of info on Toyota diffs including clamshells on gearinstalls.com

Thanks, but that thread only has info mainly on the diff ratios. The gearinstalls.com looks to have a bit of info though so thanks mate.

Guessing that the ring gear bolt torque will be about 80lbs, but will likely subscribe to Toyota site if no one has already downloaded and can share before weekend.

Yes will give an update, maybe even get some photos of install.

Just saw your reply to my older post. Have updated the link to this version, might update the dropbox again soon as I've been able to get everything into the correct folder.

At the moment just look under drivetrain. Dropbox is a bit annoying through the web browser as you can't see the entire file name.You might be best off navigating to the Drivetrain folder then clicking Download -> Direct Download up in the top right then looking through the files in your computer.

All the disassembly, reassembly and torque specs are in there.

Actually I’m also wondering how it will work with ADD which disconnects the left hand driveshaft?
Would you need to fit freewheeling hubs?

I've driven an n70 with this setup. It works well for low range 4wding, not as good for high range 4wd - on power steering is more difficult but something that you get the hang of.

That vehicle did eat CVs though... even with diff drop.

2wd with the ADD is just fine like the SR without the ADD as it still spins the prop shaft.

Thanks, yes auto-locker will no doubt change the characteristics of the drive but should drive normal in 2WD from what I've been told. I got use to the rear lokka easily so as the front is suppose to be less change hopefully ok. Install this weekend as I bought the sealant and oil today.
