Hi, I was wondering if anyone has installed a set of diff breathers to their new Lux? and if so what brand and any tips for installing it? thanks :)

i think i read it on a fortuna forum, apparently everything except the rear diff already have extended breathers mid way up the firewall in the engine bay. So unless you plan on putting your bonnet under, you only need to extend the rear one.

for anyone with a tub, the cavity behind the tail lights is probably the easiest location for a rear breather.

thanks for the reply!
I have previously located the rear axel breather, but I have also found the transmission brother without an extension lead on it, I shall investigate further, thanks!

Hey guys,

I did a quick write up of a guide to extending your breathers. Includes a list of all parts you need as well as where to get them. I've only recently purchased my hilux (never owned a 4wd before) and did find it hard to find a step by step guide for the breathers.

For a manual 2016 hilux.

I'm no expert so some things could be wrong, so any feedback would be great.

I've linked the dropbox folder below that has the guide in it, hopefully its helpful.

Please let me know if the link doesn't work.

Cheers,

Daniel.
