2008 Wheel bearing mod to later bigger design

Postby Neverl8 on Mon, 05 Sep 2016 7:09 +0000

I have 2008 and keep doing axe seals and rear wheel bearings, just had diff full rebuilt, new bearings, ratios, locker, seals, wheel bearings, axel's the lot, 3000 k's {on 35's} and got a leak on right axel seal again, bearing sounds nd feel good, but really over it..
The newer model runs a bigger bearing, whats involved to mod to suit?

Cheers

complete axle should do it, and prob easier than machining the old one

Build a full float centred diff and be done with it, you can even upgrade to a 9.5 centre if you want,
Set of rcv, longs, dirty30 or nitro axels and you'll be able to beat on it daily with big rubber
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................
