Thanks for that. Do you have a bulletin number or any reference details incase the dealer denies the existence of the update ??

Hi Guys
If you are still having issues when cold with slurring into gears and clunking when the auto downshifts there is an update which Toyota have done with my 2016 SR5, no problems now smooth as silk almost.

Had mine completed today and while I only drove it from the dealership to work (30mins Syd traffic) it didn't have any rough downshifts or flaring. I'll drive it for a few days and provide further feedback but as of right now I am hoping I am done. (Full tailshaft replaced with new part no. previously).

Got mine updated yesterday. It does drive better but still doesnt shift to 6th gear when cruising around the 100 to 110km mark which is disapointing ... Also noticed that setting the cruise control is alot more responsive than before as it used to kick in after a 4 or 5 seconds. Def worth going to your dealer for the update though guys, will report back if fuel consumption has improved or not.

Does anyone by chance have a copy of the technical bulletin so I can show the toyota dealer so they can stop denying it.

Toyota Bulletin TNF 67/16 released 4/10/16

Not sure who your dealer is, but you need to make a complaint to Toyota Australia now and watch them change their tune.

The way i did it was this.

Called the Dealer Service Centre saying that I had 2 Problems

1. Flare of the Gears when changing and was Intermittent
2. Clunk when stopping / moving off and was also Intermittent

Booked me in the next free time they had, explained to them the issues and that TNF 67/16 will resolve them.
Its under Warranty and will be covered, so they have no excuse not to do it.

So fuel consumption hasnt changed still pretty average for a diesel. Getting roughly 600km per tank . Filling it to around 55 litres per fill so 25litres not being used for some reason... I would have expected more than 700km per tank in a new diesel ute like this.

Sounds about right... 25 ltrs is over 200k more so you now know the range is 700+. When did the light come on?
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.
