Just had the Richards lock up kit fitted to my 2018 Hilux Rogue by Ultimate Diesel Tuning at Geebung, they also did a Auto trans remap. I thought long and hard about fitting this to my vehicle, reading up on everything I could before jumping in. I decided to do it mainly for towing my van. I have to say though, straight away I found the drivability of the vehicle to be much better, not hunting gears and locking the converter around the 80kmh mark. Overall it does what it says, more direct power and better fuel economy. Of course time will tell as I have only been running it for close to two weeks now but I have to say I would recommend it. Just food for thought if anyone is wishing to fit this to their rig, especially if towing.

Sorry for late reply, with COVID I have been pre occupied and not looking at the forum as much.

I haven't noticed a lot around town if any but on a highway run I've been down as low as 7.1 per 100. Big difference with convertor locked up. You would know what i mean when I say it doesn't drop gears at a drop of a hat on the highway etc. I think the biggest benefit I got was with it is defiantly when towing the van. I get around 12.5 - 12.9 per 100. I tow in fifth gear dropping to 4 etc when I see an incline coming. Keeps the convertor locked in and just powers. Defiantly a different vehicle to drive.

I have a Richards Auto Lock up kit for sale if anyone is interested. Had to remove mine for some warranty work. Will probably be selling the truck in 6-12months so cant be bothered puttting it back on.
