I am a new owner of a Hilux Adventure 4.0V6 Petrol Auto and live in Dubai. I think the trim is called Rogue/Revo elsewhere. I have recently fitted a class IV trailer hitch from ironman 4x4.
Today a friend asked me to help him tow his broken down car out of the basement parking. Out of curiosity I flipped through the owners manual while waiting to see how much I can generally tow and saw that my country trim (V - GCC) is not recommended to tow or fit a towbar.
That doesn't make any sense to me on a Hilux. Why is that? Is it just some liability topic potentially? I want to use the car and keep it for a long time. So in the future I might want to tow a camping trailer or something....
It would be great if someone can enlighten me
