hi.. I made the 2wd low mod on my Vigo some years ago...

now I change my Vigo for a Revo and I was thinking to made the same mods.. but I can't find anything...

it's not a possible mod?

I could be wrong, but being fully electronic, if you override the ADD like you did with the N70, it might not activate low range, you'd likely just get a flashing error light.

There have been a couple of threads and much theorising, but IIRC, no one has yet taken the simple step of finding the wire that powers the ADD, disconnecting it (temporarily) and seeing what happens.

Pretty simple experiment, but no one seems interested enough to try it. :(

It seems simple...but the whole system is CANBUS run....it'll throw codes and not engage low range without all the moons aligning.

If that happens, simply reconnect it.

Start at the diff housing, not under the dash. May need some resistance to simulate the ADD being engaged, or may not. Only one way to find out.

Too much theorising and not enough suck it and see. What's the worst that can happen ?

Have anyone tried this?

I have not jet purchased a Hilux so I can not try myself, the option off 2L is almost a must for me, so it would be realy nice to know if it is possible on gen 8.
