I was looking at reviews of the new facelift Hilux with 200HP 500NM engines on youtube. It caught my attention that some of those Hiluxes have an air to water intercooler which sits on top of the engine with a half engine cover; where as some of them have regular pre-facelift type front mounted air to air intercooler with a full engine cover on top of the engine. But spec wise they are all 200HP and 500NM models.
So what's happening here? Why is Toyota giving two types of intercoolers on the same engines with identical outputs?
