Excessive wear of camshafts and rocker arms

Postby timtiller on Fri, 20 Dec 2019 1:55 +0000

Hello

In the german forum a member has this problems on his hilux 2.4 2016

Excessive wear of camshafts and rocker arms. A possible external symptom - rough idling. It is prescribed to replace camshafts and replace all rockers with the modified ones (in 2019 two revisions of parts already released). Described in TSB EG-00162T-TME.

Is anyone else whit the same problems or now about it?

G'day Tim, welcome to the forum. I haven't seen anything like this before but maybe others have. Is this common in Europe?

Btw, I moved your post to the Gen8 engines section.
I might be wrong.
