do all new model hilux come with a DPF?

i currently own a 2014 hilux vigo (fitted with a 1kd-ftv 3000cc turbo engine and no DPF) which was imported from the Thailand market and i'm thinking of upgrading to the newer model (possibly 2016/2017 hilux revo 1gd-ftv 2800cc turbo engine imported from the Thailand market).
My current 2014 does not have a DPF and after seeing some of the issues some members have with them on the newer model, i'd prefer not to have one on my next purchase if i can avoid it.

hence my question...is the DPF on all of the newer model hilux revo from 2015 onwards with the 1gd-ftv engine

and does anyone have a picture of what it looks like exactly

i know on the 2014 hilux i could see the DPF from under the vehicle on the UK imports, where is it on the newer model hilux?

thanks for any assistance with these questions...i'd really like to know so i can make a decision.

not all of them have a DPF it depends on which market they were sold into , and what the Euro emissions spec is for that country. Australia and Japan do and im fairly sure the Thai models dont have one.

The DPF , if fitted , is mounted directly behind the turbo -

You might find them in some markets still with the 4.0L V6 too, which use a bit more fuel but are as reliable as the day is long and no DPF obviously. We got them in Australia in 2016 only I think.

thank you very much. that link helped a lot, as i've seen that "section behind the turbo" on one of the revos i looked at recently on the sales lot, but i had no idea it was the DPF.
it appears its just a matter of time before we can't escape these manufacturer techonological/emission advances

Nope!
They fixed DPF regen whilst driving at slow speeds in suburbs (actually fixed it really well), BUT they stuffed up DPF regen when driving at high speeds on freeways when engine has to work a bit harder.
