Noisy Engine, cam replacement

Hi Guys

Currently have a 2016 hilux engine has been getting noiser and noiser it’s currently on 97,000km and Toyota’s have concluded that it needs a new cam shaft...........

Has anyone else have this happen??

Nope wish I was ... I have two hiluxs one with 60,000km and other 97,000km

The 60k one i think its starting to rattle ......

not heard of camshafts before , but the timing chain rattle / failure is a known one , refer to my post here - viewtopic.php?f=129&t=30239

its almost out of warranty so dont let them delay the issue any longer.

Have noticed this rattle on my 2016 SR5 with 52,000k's. I guess it's back to Toyota again :(
I'm starting to question this rig's reliability once it gets into the 100,000k's. When i purchased this Hilux it was a switch from Land Rover's to rid myself of reliability issues. l certainly understand the odd issue here & there but bloody timing chains slapping before 60,000k's is disgraceful
