I wish :(

None of that is available for hilux, just buzzers for seat belts, volume of indicators blinking, volume of chirping noise when locked or unlocked and number of times indicators blink. Thats it for customisation for hilux.

Hi All,
So i Have read all this thread and have a few questions y'all may be able to answer?
So I have a 2018 SR5 Ex Cab, 2.8L (1GD-FTV) auto, unfortunately this model didn't come with a manual regen switch, I have read that people are doing DPF Regen burns triggered with a Scanguage, how is this done & how do I send this command to my ECU ?
I have a Scanguage 3 and have input a bunch of the handy X-gauges (Soot load, Trans temp etc.) and they work well but I am still at a loss as to how to trigger a regen from this unit ??
Is this possible ? I believe the code is 302906101 for a burn and that 07E0282 is to talk to CAN but that's where my knowledge on this ends, how and where do i put this data in my scanguage3 to get a burn started ????

Hi guys, i have the n70 ( hilux 2014), i have installed torque pro and an obd2 adapter, i follow the instruction regarding adding an extra PID ( in my case i was intrested aboud PM accumulation), but its gets no data, and searching thru the app, seems that the app or the obd is not able to see none of the dpf sensors ( dpf temp/oxigen sensors/ egt/dpf accum), so is it about the obd adapter ? thanks,

If i dont manage to solve it, is the EGR command a good indicator if the burn started ? as i understand if a burn start egr valve closes completly.

Cause every time a drive the car all day, mostly highway speeds, whenever i park it on the alley, its starts a burn, and it really drive s me nuts.

Thanks,

Hi Andre,

The Euro5 1KD never came here to OZ so no one has been able to work out the codes for the DPF system for it and from previous members from Europe's tests the 1GD PM Accumulation etc codes don't seem to work.

The EGR command won't help as the valve also closes at other times other than DPF burns.

What EGT Temp Codes did you already try?

Should have EGT B1S1 (Turbo output), EGT B1S2 (Cat output) & EGT B1S3 (DPF output) and the last two will go above 600 degrees C when the DPF burn is happening.

These are the standard OBDII mode 01 codes for those:

TXD: 07DF0178
RXF: 054106780000
RXD: 3810
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: EGT (B1S1)

TXD: 07DF0178
RXF: 054106780000
RXD: 4810
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: CAT (B1S2 - goes up in around 26 degrees C increments as the scangauges cant combine data from two frames so missing lower 8 bits)

TXD: 07DF0178
RXF: 032100000000
RXD: 2010
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: DPF (B1S3)

Don't know if anyone has tried these, but if above codes don't work, try these as Toyota duplicates some mode 01 info under mode 21:

TXD: 07E02178
RXF: 056106780000
RXD: 3810
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: EGT

TXD: 07E02178
RXF: 056106780000
RXD: 4810
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: CAT (goes up in around 26 degrees C increments as SG cant read lower 8 bits in next frame)

TXD: 07E02178
RXF: 032100000000
RXD: 2010
MTH: 0001000AFFD8
Name: DPF

Hi mate, thanks alot, just did a run on a highway, and yes EGR shows zero only on stand still, but EGT B1S2 seems to be the most acurate information.

In Europe they sold this model as 2KD-FTV with DPF, we dont have issues with injectors at all, but this damn preventive burn make me insane :)) Just image i dont drive it in the city, just national or highways, and after 500km, i park the car on the drive way and it raises the idle and start smelling like dead shoes :)).

Anyways, thanks alot,

No Problems,

Sorry, I should have converted to Torque Pro versions for you but assume you were able to do that ok.

Out of interest did you try the mode 21 EGT sensor versions and if yes are they reading the same as the mode 01s?

As sometimes Toyota uses different formulas for equivalent codes (such as the MAP so some Scantools read low on MAP and Boost if using the mode 21 version).

If you get the Torque Scan add-on and capture all the Mode 21 code responses linked to the engine (07E0) and post here I might be able to locate the potential PID/s with the PM Accumulation in it by comparing to ones for a non DPF 1KD.

Hi ptommo59

Thanks for your time and info, but honestly speaking your info are way over my knowledge :)

So, first I really don't know how to translate those values to Torque, and I would really appreciate if you could help me here. Second, I don't know what mode 21EGT means, I will try to do some print screens of the app wile working, see if it helps.

If you have some free time, aldo for sure we are afected by the time zone, i ll send you a PM.

Thanks again,

Try these, there is a set of Torque EGT codes for mode 01 (standard OBDII) and modes 21 (Toyota OEM).

Either or both sets may work for your vehicle.

Names and min/max values can be adjusted to suit your preference and gauge layout.

OBDII Mode 01 versions:

Mode/PID: 0178
Long Name: EGT B1S1
Short Name: EGT
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 1000
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °C
Equation: INT16(B:C)/10-40
OBD Header: 07DF

Mode/PID: 0178
Long Name: EGT B1S2
Short Name: CAT
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 1000
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °C
Equation: INT16(D:E)/10-40
OBD Header: 07DF

Mode/PID: 0178
Long Name: EGT B1S3
Short Name: DPF
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 1000
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °C
Equation: INT16(F:G)/10-40
OBD Header: 07DF

Toyota Mode 21 Versions:

Mode/PID: 2178
Long Name: EGT B1S1
Short Name: EGT
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 1000
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °C
Equation: INT16(B:C)/10-40
OBD Header: 07E0

Mode/PID: 2178
Long Name: EGT B1S2
Short Name: CAT
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 1000
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °C
Equation: INT16(D:E)/10-40
OBD Header: 07E0

Mode/PID: 2178
Long Name: EGT B1S3
Short Name: DPF
