On my Hilux manual 2.4l GUN125 it has a PWR button alongside and ECO button - the ECO is for granny style driving, the PWR puts it into like sports mode

Does anyone know what increase in torque and BHP is created when the PWR mode is activated?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about it on the internet

I think it's just the way the power is delivered that changes mate.

Ok, I wasn't sure if it worked like a chip and increased the power and torque

I think it just makes full boost available at lower speeds

pretty sure it's just throttle and gearbox calibration (in an auto). The auto box will hold gears longer without up shifting. Also the throttle is a lot more sensitive.

It retards or strenghtens the signal strength sent from the accelerator pedal to the throttle body. PWR mode sends a stronger signal at a lower pressure on the pedal in turn making it run at 100% throttle pressure when its say 60%. And eco is the opposite obviously.
