EGR back clean out

Howdy All,

I'm new to the fraternity, I have. 4/2015 3.0L Hilux with 76k kms and I am trying to get a handle on a couple of things, could I please ask for some helpful advice?

1) I'm just about to install a Provent 200 oil catch can and I wanted to ask is it imperative that I plumb the blow by outlet valve back into the turbo or can I just put a plug in both the catch can an air intake going to the turbo? Why would I put potentially harmful air back through my turbo?

2) I'm planning on blocking off the EGR Valve but I want to clean everything that the EGR has "corrupted" first, could someone please advise what I need to do?

I am very keen to try and prolong the engine life of my ute and have just found out about the potential issues with cleaning the carbon from my ute via a chemical treatment which to a novice like me is bizarre cause I want to stop this shit just going through my engine not encourage it.
