turning egr and dpf off?

Postby 4wdadriang on Thu, 21 Jul 2016 8:31 +0000

Has anyone had experience with having the egr and or dpf somehow blocked or switched off via a computer reflashing? Can you recommend anyone to do the work in either adelaide or melbourne? Thanks in advance...

Get onto matt at Just Autos Nambour they do the egr delete with an ecu exchange. Had mine done. No need for a catch can then.

Its all possible, and required if running a dpf delete exhaust.

EGR can be turned off seperately.

One of 2 this week being tuned, Icons, exhaust, brake upgrade, etc.

Hi daz

Is the 20kw improvement im assuming with the exhaust upgraded dpf deleted egr off and tuned?

Im only interested in turning egr off to not over soot the engine and the dpf i just want turned off to prevent any long term issues with the dpf and being forced to drive 20plus mins over 60kph to cleanse the thing. Seams like im robbing peter to pay paul with this stuff.. wasting fuel driving and injecting fuel into the exhaust causing the higher potential for a vehicle fire in a remote location. I know its to save the atomsphere etc etc but that monster debatable topic aside...

is it possible to turn both off and leave the original exhaust im not seeking power improvement.

Could you provide more info on the brake upgrade also. Whats involved/parts used/front and rear or just fronts etc.

I know its not on topic with this thread but its the first i have read on here of a brake upgrade on the new model. Maybe you could start a new thread on it?

DPF in, and on, egr off.

You cant turn off DPF and leave it there as it has to burn off to stay open, or else it just clogs.

Its around a 6 hr job to pull the dpf apart and put the outer back.

The dyno sheet above is dpf back exhuast and tune only.

Brake upgrade we do front rotors and pads in our upgrade kit, with new rear shoes.
