HPD Air/Oil seperator.

Just installed my new HPD Air/Oil separator yesterday. Have a current 2016 Hilux SR5 dual cab 2.8lt and it has just ticked over 1000km. Today when I got home from work I removed the lower canister and found not oil residue but what seemed like water, and quite a bit as well ???? is this normal ??

Can't comment on the new ones but I usually see more moisture in mine this time of year.

Yeah ok, the trip too and from work every day is only 15 to 20 minutes. The engine reaches operating temp well before I get there but I just thought that maybe it was still too short a trip . But I agree this time of year I can understand a lot more moisture in the rocker cover's, still better catching the moisture than corroding the turbocharger I guess

Definitely! With my road bike I always get a lot of moisture in the oil cos it only ever does short trips this time of year, it makes the oil sight glass window go milky! What I do with it is get it nice and hot with the oil filler cap off, definitely hepls let a lot of the moisture out! I should try it out on the ute but haven't yet.
