DPF Delete / Remove DPF

Hello

I have the 2013 hilux with the 1kd-ftv engine with dpf, and I want to remove that shit

Has anyone tryed to remove the dpf on theese models? I have searched for dpf delete race pipe to hilux on google, but no results.
Is the solution maybe to just take down the dpf, open it and remove whats inside of it?
Do I then need an DPF emulator box?
I found this on a webpage: http://pandpauto.co.uk/toyota-dpf-removal.html Has anyone tryed this box?

Have heard in other brands the eliminator is a must but be warned if you get pulled up by the green police. Be prepared to be reamed. If you completely remove it you will get heaps of error codes and a limp home where you can only.move.to.30 kph. So it has to be done right.
In my honest opinion it is not worth the expense of removing it.

Just learn to live with it and do the regen burns required.

Why ? Never heard of anyone having problems with the DPF equipped Hilux and they`ve been on the go for a couple of years now.

I won't buy another diesel with a DPF. I'll keep the current Hilux as long as possible. Is the new one for Oz going to have one?

Nowt like that with the Hilux, apart from a slightly high tickover when the DPF is regenerating you wouldn`t know it was there. :)

No failure or any issues yet, we just don't like the regen process. It kicks off when it shouldn't and the does do one when you think it should. It'd be great if there was a button to press that told the car "we're going to be driving on the freeway for a while, if you need to regen do it now".

I also question the longevity of them, I see the market for "DPF delete" to be very strong once the warranty ends.

I honestly don't see the point in them. My wife's Captiva has one and nothing but an absolute pain in the arse! Seriously why put a filter in and then pump a stack of fuel into the motor to get the dpf box that hot it burns the shit out and just pumps all the shit into the atmosphere! Not to mention when the light comes on to tell you that it's doin a clean out its always at an inconvenient time, the car runs like a dog while it's doin it, ya have to take the car out on the open road and thrash the he'll out of it so it does it properly and you can literally see the fuel guage goin down in the process. I'll be finding a way to bypass it as soon as it's out of warranty! POS!

Does anyone know the composition of adblue if that's how it is spelled, can anything be substituted if it runs out?

Ummm yes it can. The transport company that used to pick our milk up , brought a new Volvo running ad blue. The owner got a chip put in to fool the computer. Now they just put water in the ad blue tank. Ad blue is only distilled water and 30% urea anyway. Main problem with ad blue is the cost. Add about 5cpl to your fuel bill.

FYI: I'm definitely not an expert in this matter; but I had a VW with the DPF (With no problems). The Aussie VW forums have a lot of discussion regarding the DPF Delete, but after a few posts on a topic someone highlights the significant fines from the EPA for going ahead which puts an end to discussion quickly until next time (Kind of like the endless topics on car forums in Australia about people wanting to do HID conversions).

Guys you'll find this funny! A good mate owns the local exhaust shop here and he tells me he has removed the dpfs from most of the pajeros that our local police force use!!!!

Hello and thank you for all answers and opinions.
The reason why I want to remove thr dpf, is because my car uses alot more diesel than hilux without dpf. And my car goes bad compare to hilux without dpf.
When I had land cruiser 120 prado, I removed the catalysator on the exhaust system. That did make the car go a bit easier. I also heard the turbo when full throttle. In my ears, it means that the turbo gets a better life, and doesnt go heavy load all time.
I still have four years of toyota warantee on my hilux, so I am not sure if it is an good idea to do this at the moment. I hope that some day it will come an "race pipe", like I have seen on nissan navara and pathfinder, who has problems with their dpf. And i refuse to believe that hilux dpfs are better than other brands.
I heard with my local toyota store how expencive this dpf was, and I got a real big greande-shock when he told the price for this jar was 38.000 NOK (About 6000 AUD)
Typical it holds to the day the warantee is out

AdBlue is now in the current model Hilux's??? Can someone confirm or refute this??

I had AdBlue and a DPF in my Mazda CX-7 and it was expensive to buy from Mazda until I found a cheap source (BP Servo at Nundah in Brisbane LOL), but I would hate to think that the new Hilux needs this as well. What a PITA!!

Adblue is NOT i the current Euro5 model which is sold in Europe.
Next year euro 6 will be necessary to get a new car on the roads but as far as I know Toyota found a way to archive it without Adblue. That means that rail pressure will incline to ridiculous 2500 bar.
Good and clean diesel will be more important than it already is and trips to other countries having less quality diesel will not be easy.

crab!

The present DPF equipped Hilux is not an additive (adblue or Urea) system
