Going to install TowPro Elite to my N80 hilux. Any suggestions for tapping into the brake
Activation circuit please?
Vehicle has a factory fitted large 7 pin socket and has the trailer brake wire fitted, just want find where it may terminate at the other end.

Just be careful, make sure you're looking at the Electric Brake terminal and not the Brake Light terminal on the 7 pin socket.
A few DIYers have fallen into this trap.
If you have an Electric Brake controller on or under your dashboard, this is where the correctly fitted cables would be connected.

Brake activation is from the switch on the brake pedal, one wire is hot (+ve) and the other is where you tap in after the switch.
The blue wire terminates under the driver's seat if it's like the gen7, that should, repeat should connect to the output on the controller. Gen8 may be different :?
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.
