i have had my hilux for years and have never worked out how to turn the lights off when you turn the vehicle off, usually i just open the drivers door and they go off but if you are waiting in the vehicle is there another way?

Does the vehicle light switch have an "Auto" setting? If so there is likely other settings that you can try out. If this is not the issue, you can try manually turning your interior light on, if that works then you can use this method to keep the warm air inside the car.

Turn from "Auto" to "Parkers" and back to "Auto". They then turn off.
