Underbody Wiring Corrosion Protection

New to Hilux and coming from a 2005 Navara, a simple vehicle by comparison. The Hilux has a heap of exposed underbody wires and connectors. Looks to be a sub optimal arrangement. I imagine the connectors will start corrode in no time and introduce electrical gremlins.
What are you doing to protect these connections?
I was thinking lanolin or dielectric grease on the terminals and self amalgamating tape around the connector?
