Has anyone found an elegant mount for an Anderson socket in the tub? Something like this?

I still need to get all my wiring sorted, but I had planned on using a surface mount and putting it in the rear corner so it was out of the way, but also so I could feed the cable in from the tail-light area easily.

Can get some dust caps to keep crap out if you use the tray for carting stuff.

I also got a power distribution box so I can just plug that in when I need it and everything can hook into it from that one Anderson connection:

Just what I had planned, I'm sure there's many other ways that others have done also.

Good Luck!

The surface mount is a nice option. I'm planning to use a battery box so don't need a distribution box. The other option I have read is using the removable plates that are at the front of the tub.

However they are rather large so not sure if there is any mount that will cover the entire area short of using a custom solution like what appears to be a home light switch box in the same post or perhaps just drill a hole in them instead of removing the entire plate.

If you pay $400 for a power socket you have more money than sense. You can get a lot more for your money and cheaper

The question is exactly what OTHER options are out there. Your comment is neither an answer nor helpful.

I have been using Lithium Ion Bat ( LIB ) packs which weight less than 5 Kg to run Compressors, Fridges, LEDs etc. for a few years.

These use XT60 / XT90 plugs, not Anderson ( AP ).

LIB packs are more about taking packs to appliance rather than wiring to APs, I have not used my dual Bat since I started using LIBs because a single LIB will pwr a fridge for approx. 24 hrs. this allows you to re-charge via a panel.

I have 2 x 350W panels on my rolux with 1x directly wired into a fridge and the other used to charge LIBs.

You can buy packs from RedArc - https://www.redarc.com.au/portable-power but they are very expensive $3K

ng_newbie, thanks. Most certainly a good option but I can't invest the $$$ just yet. Perhaps one for the future upgrades list!
