No, the engine will run but the ECU needs to values to run correctly and not destroy the engine.
I might be wrong.

I dont know. I have run mine for a short period with no problem. However, incorrect combustion is a cause of cracked pistons, so best get the numbers into the ECU.
I might be wrong.
