Tub led light strip

Tub led light strip

Postby naftausa on Mon, 07 Dec 2020 8:46 +0000

i needed some more light than the AAA battery power led comes fromthe top of Toyota ABS Hard top...

so i use the 12v from battery, along chassis, and then in the tail light cavity to power on a 12v led light strip

see there https://www.newhilux.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=31885&p=435486#p435486

i use some 3d printed support to make "curve" the led strip at the bottom angles of the tub...

add also some "VHB 3m Style" bi-adhesive because i don't trust the led strip bi-adhesive...

with an illuminated button using a pre-existing hole in the rear light wall.. (just enlarge from 9,5mm to 12 mm) so i can find it immediately in the dark.

hope you like it..

Nice install! Much neater than mine. The switch looks great inside the trim there. I just piggybacked onto the existing light in my canopy. Put the strips facing up along the canopy base. viewtopic.php?f=41&t=31476. I use them all the time. one of the most useful installs I've attempted. You'll be stoked with the results!
