Does anyone know whether the trailer check switch is able to be retro-fitted?
The switch that enables activation of the reversing camera while driving

Gday Garry, I got mine added from new. It was certainly an optional extra for my SR platform Rugged. Assume this means you can retrofit one to your SR5, bloody handy bit of kit. Well worth the $200 odd bucks.

Yes it can be easily retrofitted, the installation instructions for the kit PZQ9089040 show it's a simple plug & play into the rear of the head unit. Phil Gilbert Toyota are listing a genuine Toyota kit on eBay for $95 posted.
