hi mates,
i would like to ask your opinion on this and if there is any tech here who knows everything about our hilux revo , is the traction control system connected to the spiral cable? coz our technician always blames the spiral cable for the light staying on , and no more function from the traction control,,hope to hear from you guys,,thanks in advance..

I always check the rear diff ABS wiring.
So easy to rip off and it will throw a solid fault.

A slightly kinked hose on a little vacuum diaphragm on the top left hand side of the engine (diesel) was responsible for mine staying on.

The hose and diaphragm had nothing to do with the traction control, but somehow there must have been a connection.

Fixed the kink and the light went out.

I had a similar problem with mine staying on.

The response i had from the Toyota dealer was it was a Wheel angle sensor. Can happen when the front wheels become airborne.
Apparently this throws a code which disables Traction control.

Mine stayed on when I ripped off the rear diff wiring loom (also lost cruise control and ABS and rear diff lock). A bit of a pain as I was halfway between Alice Springs and Marble Bar on the Gary Junction Road. They couldn't get parts in Broome, so I drove without those functions until we got back to the Qld coast!!

I had the same issue when I knocked the wheel alignment out one time

Hi,

I Swapped the std 16" black rims on my 2018 2wd workmate for 19" Holden Captiva alloys(same 5 std patton also falcon and some Hondas) and it cause the Traction Control light to stay on.

When I took it back to Toyota for its 1000k compermentery check up, they reset it, so far so good.
