Proximity sensor for lock/unlock button on door handles

Proximity sensor for lock/unlock button on door handles

Postby davidtm on Tue, 06 Nov 2018 7:13 +0000

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knew where the proximity sensors are to read the key so you can unlock/lock the doors from pressing the button on the door handle?
I’m thinking I’ll try and mimic this and add a button so I can do the same thing when getting into the canopy.
TIA,
David

Probably a 'touch' sensor on each handle, not so easy to replicate on the hatch but surely is possible. The proximity sensor is probably wherever the main central locking/ unlocking signal is processed.
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

Thanks Gipsy,
Yeah I was thinking it probably wasn’t going to be the easiest thing to do.
Cheers
