*** Electrical Engineer Needed ***

SR5 Dual Cab & Swapping Lights for LED.
I have used canbus LED's which I'm told shouldn't result in the fast flicker though has. I searched for relay to swap out but couldn't find one. I searched online to hear its controlled via a combination meter so I hit the Toyota dealer, guy was nice enough to give me the schematic.

I think the only way we can address the fast flash is with resistors. My bigger concern is getting the right size resistor and not generating too much heat or overloading the combination meter. If reading correctly the combination meter is 5v which might complicate things more.

Anyway if any Elec Engineers on hear that could best advise it would be most appreciated.

It sounds like you have replaced all of your indicator lamps with LEDs and now you have the fast flashing? (Your pictures aren't loading). All you need is some LED load resistors. Just install 1 per side, in parallel with an existing lamp and it should fix your problem. I would suggest maybe install them in the rear as it's probably the easiest place to access the wiring. These will do the trick;

No, these resistors just simulate the load that would normally be present with standard globes.

Put them on and worked fine.

I have ran the hazards and put temp gun on them to confirm though note the package warning.
Operate uptown 170degrees C, DONT put on or near plastic etc, mount to metal and may blister painted surface (WTF).

So where & how to mount them is interesting, I folded some alloy bar and pop riveted them to it and it to body under tube. I extended the leads with some 15amp Narva cable I had, wouldn't advise mounting behind light assembly.

The proper way is to find the datasheet for the flasher relays IC and changing the resistor value on the current sense pin. Looks like the new gen has it integrated in the combi meter which wont be easy. The previous gen had the flasher relay just behind the dash.

Running a load resistor defeats the point of having power efficient LEDS. Its actually a step backwards since your adding load on top of the LED's consumption.

Also instead of being ripped off by Narva, save money and just buy it here for $1.39 each (50w 8ohm)

not doable on the N80. as flip mentioned the flashers are controlled by the ECU in the combimeter. Its a thin film circuit board so not readily modified

As I mentioned in original post, people don't read. All sorted now with resistors though another option would be cool.

HAHA, it isn't that people don't read, it is just that's what happens on forums.
This forum isn't usually too bad but on some the arguments go on for weeks after the original poster either has the problem solved or just plain gives up during a barrage of ridicules ideas that hide the good suggestions.

I have had systems up and running for years yet people want to argue they wont work because they googled it.

Like when someone tells you the proper way to do it, most likely never seen inside an automotive ECU.

You get used to it after a while.

most people dont have the tools , knowledge or experience to go into ECU repairs , especially SMD devices , so best way for those is to keep it simple and reversible if need be.
