ECU problems?

ECU problems?

Postby nate93 on Wed, 04 Apr 2018 2:46 +0000

Went 4wding on the weekend in a bit of mud. Noticed my head unit and clock blew their fuse. Have also lost dash lights, parkers, abs/traction control and the 4wd system.

I replaced the blown fuse for the head unit, which is now working fine. Had an auto electrician come out and try to fix the rest and he had no luck.
I found a small tear in my reverse camera wire which i think blew the head unit fuse. Electrician doesnt believe that it could damage the ecu though. Im taking it into Toyota tomorrow.
Has anybody experienced anything like this before?

Thanks

the ECU is overload protected , so not likely to be damaged. you should try unplugging the trailer repeater ECU , and then check all the other fuses.

Dont have a towbar and the auto electrician tested each fuse with a multimeter. Fingers crossed its something simple.
