Which OBD2 Wifi Scanner to get??

Which OBD2 Wifi Scanner to get??

Postby Skeb on Thu, 01 Feb 2018 6:27 +0000

G'day all, for those of you who have successfully used a OBD2 Wifi scanner with the android app Torque Pro, what scanner did you get?
I ask this because after reading various threads I bought a Konwei KW903 ELM327 OBD2 version from Ebay and I can not get it to work, tried my Hilux and 2 other different cars (doesn't light up as active and not able to view via wifi).
I have followed the instructions, which is a first for me, and still no luck. Could be me or I could have bought a dud..
So any suggestions on a preferred wifi scanner that you know works?
Cheers, Simon.

The one I got is wifi, I did try it on bluetooth just in case it was labeled wrong, but no luck either way.

Mines an ELM327 but Bluetooth.
The ebay mob was from Darwin if I remember correctly.
Works perfectly so far. :)

If it's wifi it should show up as as wifi in the wifi available networks, if not it's not working.
I got the Vgate iCar 3 OBD2 ELM327 wifi and it works with the OBD Fusion app, haven't messed around to much with it but looks to be good. Only thing so far when it goes to sleep mode after the car is turned off after 15 minutes and turning the car back on it won't wake up have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it going again.

I've used a kiwi wifi for years. https://www.plxdevices.com/Kiwi-OBD2-OB ... 002344.htm

Works very well.

I also use a scan gauge 2.

I run dashcommand and use a ELM327, works alright but I can't get tranny temp like I wanted.
Boost, engine temp, intake temp, volts and speed work plus it cleats errors.
