Supplier of Toyota electrical connectors ??

Postby Hiluxtorv on Mon, 29 Jan 2018 8:35 +0000

Hey everyone,
As I’m planning on doing a dpf delete using a emulator I’ve been doing research. Found a emulator for roughly 90Aud delivered compared to 500 for the 54 4x4 delete.
Only problem is it comes with just wires and instructions say to just cut factory wires.
After comparing them both and looking at diagrams I’ve been given I’m fairly sure I can just buy a load of the female and male plugs, make my own loom to jumper in between the factory plugs and then do all my terminations. This will keep all my normal wires intact and I can always return to stock.
Only problem is I need a good supplier that can sell me the plugs and sockets I need.
Does anyone know the best place to get them ?
Anyone done the same thing I’m doing with the dpf delete from dpf doctor in America ?

Try RS Components. I've been able to find matching plugs and pins from them in the past. TE Connectivity is more than likely the brand you want. Be prepared to spend hours going through their catalog as there are thousands of connectors.

Awesome, I’ll give rs components a ring, might even call in they’re pretty close to where I live.
Hopefully they carry Toyota plugs [emoji106]

Sweet, just go to the Toyota site ? I never knew they had that on their website ! I’ll have to go look, hopefully they have them listed as rs components have 1200 automotive connectors to sort through !

i dont have subscription to the website any more , but i did print out some diagrams , and yes on the last page of each diagram there are the connector numbers listed , along with what i think are part numbers. for example one of the connectors in the audio system ( G43 ) is numbered 90980-10997.

Hey mate, sorry for the delay,I just found your email now! I think it’s going to be hard to source plugs, I called Toyota the other day and they weren’t very helpful.
Now planning on just splicing into the wires close to the ecu inside the cabin.
The dpf module arrived today, seems pretty easy to install, only a few wires need connecting.
Now just to find a ecu pinout which will help with terminating

the ECU pinouts are part of the diagrams , look on the bottom pages for C38 , C39 , C40 etc which are shown to correspond with the pinouts in the shaded boxes .
The circled letters correspond to the connector numbers , so for example when you look at the 4 injectors ( page 6 ) - pins 6 , 7 , 1 , 2 ( A) belong to connector C38 . pins 7 , 6 , 5 , 4, ( B ) belong to connector ( C 39 ).

be aware that sometimes you are looking at a male plug , sometimes a female socket . and the wire colours can change going through the connector. check 3 times , cut wire once !!

Awesome,thanks for that !
I just had a closer look through everything and pretty much everything is in there that I need and seems right compared to the cables I traced back from the sensors this afternoon when I had a look.
Hopefully I’ll get around to wiring it up in the next few weeks,I’ll keep you posted and take photos to help anyone else interested in using this delete module
Cheers

Hey everyone,
Got my hands on a delete pipe from castle hill exhaust, ends up that they’ve been making them for 54 4x4. I’ve installed the dpf delete and module, will see how it goes for a while. I’ll do a write up soon on wiring up the delete module
