Power Window Master Switch Not Working

Power Window Master Switch Not Working

Postby stevearm77 on Fri, 04 Aug 2017 3:48 +0000

Hi everybody. Seems the Power Window Master Switch on the driver's door armrest on my 2016 GUN126R SR5 is not functioning - No windows will roll up or down from the master switch, window lock on the master switch doesn't work & the central locking/unlocking switches on the same master switch won't function either.

All three other power windows work fine from their separate controllers, just not from the master switch.

All doors lock & unlock fine from the remote or door handle buttons.

Removed the master switch connector harness & it has power, by earthing two of the wires i can then get the driver's door to go up & down.

Any opinion much appreciated on wether you think this is a just a master switch issue or canbus maybe? I know very little about canbus systems. Also does anyone know where the power window fuses are located?

Is there any way to reset the power window switch as in earlier Toyota models?

Any help much appreciated. Cheers :)

Have you disconnected your battery recently?

There's a procedure in the user manual that tells you how to reset the power windows. It will talk about jam protection activating, but sometimes you have to do the reset after disconnecting the battery.

Cheers.

check the following fuses - IG1 No4 , Door No1 , Door No2 , Door R/R , Door R/L. these are located under the WHITE fuse panel cover behind the glovebox.

Cheers for the reply guys!
Ended up being the ECU ALT 2 fuse in the white fuse panel behind the glovebox.
