Has anyone changed their dome lights over to an LED?

After a quick search I found this mob ---> http://www.newpro-tech.com.au/CHILUX.htm

Just not sure if compatible.

For a fraction of the price I just changed mine with the Narva led equivalent from Supercheap.
About $12 all up from memory.

Far brighter and definately worth the effort.

Cheers

From memory it was

And

I just pulled the bulbs out when I was in the carpark and took them in and matched them but I'm pretty sure these are the ones.

So FYI for anybody wanting to purchase off ebay etc. The front lights are T10s and the back is a 31mm Festoon. I've replaced all of them them with 4000k (daylight white) narva LEDs which are similar to the ones in the previous post. I prefer a more natural colour and am not keen on the blue tint that is found in the 6000k LEDS.

When installing I found a slight issue with the back light. Although the navara bulb I purchased is a 31mm festoon which matches the stock bulb, the ends seem to be a slightly different profile so it doesn't fit 100% correctly into the slot. To fix this I'll probably need to put a small bit of electrical tape on the end point where it contacts otherwise it may fall out during a large bump.

Naturally both SCA stores are out of stock on all interior bulbs.

Had chance to test them out now that it's dark and I'm glad I upgraded. Subjectively sitting in the cab, the lights appear to be about 2x brighter than stock. I'm also glad I went 4000k over 6000k as it's a very natural white.

In regards to the rear bulb not fitting, I had to gently massage (i.e. bend) one of the contacts into a sort of sideways 'V' or '<' shape (if that makes sense) and it fits snugly now.

Adeau I'm pretty sure I went with the 4k leds too as the one's I had put in my Ranger were too blue/stark for my liking.

I think I very gently (forced) my rear one in too and it's been fine

Looks good. I agree, the standard bulb in the dome light is very dull.

I originally bought a Phillips LED 4000k festoon for mine, but that was only slightly brighter as the standard unfortunately. I pissed that off and bought this - http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/5x48-SMD-LED-W ... Ciid%253A2

It's a cheap ebay product, but it's brilliant! Much brighter then standard and warm white colour as well which I prefer.
