Hey just wondering if anyone has found a way to boost voltage without bcdc charger I want to run a redarc 200a isolator with switch inside so I can link I have researched and can't find any wine that has thinking of trying a diode inline with small wire that goes to regulator but before I go trying everything wondering if anyone else has tryed

Yes same as that I have one from previous model same set up but doesn't work on new hilux but I'm thinking of cutting the small wire that goes to regulator and putting in a weatherproof fuse holder with the diode in it and see what happens that's about all I can think of trying at the moment

Why do you want to link the batteries? Aux starter? Have done this on a couple of customers rigs now. Set up the system with a proper charger then run a separate large starter wire to link the two batteries with a simple isolator switch at each end. This way you will be charging your aux battery to its potential and you wont have a massive constantly live wire. Food for thought!

Or just keep a set of jumper leads under your seat, ive jumped my car from my aux battery twice now using jumper leads. Cheaper than an isolator and associated cable and more versatile

I only like the option to link batteries because I used it a bit on my last ute when I was winching I'd link and if I did get a flat crank batt for some reason all I did was push a button
it was a bullet proof setup with the redarc isolator they are made well if I can just get another .3 volts I'd be happy I have batteries on charger when in garage if I get time tonight I'm going to have a experiment

Allgood found my answers on prado point I know a bit more about what's going on now boosters won't work
And they talk about isolator vs dc charger pros and cons
