Sorry should of said that I have stated I have a 3.0 diesel
Sorry if I sound like a noob but I am learning as I go with this app,
It's awesome how much it shows
From what I can learn egt won't happen , thanks for the reply qwerty

ditto mate, all good, wasn't meaning to sound like a smart ass.

I have a feeling the standard PAE's that you see for Cat Sensors are relative to the "bank" ... and the diesels ECU doesn't provide metrics to the standard OBD system.

As awlays, have a tinker

ALso, the support guy for OBD Fusion is very good, hit him up....

All good thanks for the reply , I have hit him up just waiting for a reply

I'm using the codes someone put up for the 2.8L Diesel fortuner (these seem to work for me). I'm only doing small things with mine so far but have gotten auto trans temp, and a few other things.

I think someone posted the fortuner codes, I was able to import these in. If there is an export function I will try and export mine out - I've spent a bit of time converting the formulas to give out metric readings (cel instead of f, litres instead of gallons, etc.

EDIT - Sorry just read you have the 3.0l N70 - not sure you would need to get a list of the codes if your vehicle isn't in the list on the app by default. Surely someone on the old 3.0l motor has done this! (Maybe you might need to post in that forum, not in the 2015+ Hilux forum)

Thanks mate , yeah I didn't even realise it was in the 2015 + forum either , op stated he had a 07 model anyways all good thanks mate !

Thanks, and QWERTY don't worry about the 2015+ forum, your input is invaluable to all of us and I follow all the new posts because some issues are equally valid for other models. Good work on the obd2, interesting read. :)
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

Use Toyota tech stream for these active tests. The hilux may not have this function and that's why it's failing

I bought a $4 bluetooth dongle off ebay for my 2017 Hilux. It seems to work fine, but only with an android device. Doesn't work with my iPhone. I had to dig up and old phone to get it going. I'm currently using it with Torque Pro, but would be interested in a different app if it gives more info about EGR and DPF status. From what I can see, Torque Pro only shows EGR status (0 or 1) I assume open or closed, and DPF temp. Not sure if there is a sensor to measure how full it is (I assume so as it uses this to calculate when to do a DPF burn) but I am keen to see the status of this.

As I understand the iphone specific dongle needs to connect via wifi instead of bluetooth. It should say wifi on the dongle rather than bluetooth EDR 2.1 or whatever mine says.

Qwerty did you end up importing a PID list from somewhere?
The Dropbox link on p2 is dead.
Keen to find one for my 07 3.0D manual.

Think I wanna get one of them Dongles and the Fusion App, thanks for sharing.

When the dongle is in can you still close the fuse cover?

I am looking at the one recommended by Fusion Developer - https://www.obdsoftware.net/scantools/obdlinkmxwifi

If you mean obd2 yes you can leave the dongle in place and use the app as you drive.

Just be aware that for the odb2 there is a test you can do and if you do it one of the tests is likely to fail but that's normal (at least for now). Waiting to hear back from my toyota rep why it fails. Got me to think my local toyota rep where a bunch of morons as they said nope nothing wrong with the car and then you plug it in again and it says test failed :P

Hey Qwerty I have almost the same ute as you but an 09. I can't seem to add the PID for trans temp. How did you go about it?

Yeah same driveline, using an iPhone I can't seem to get anything but basic obd2 information. New layout looks sweet!
