I bought a cable along with 10.30.29 software on Ebay ,and only got it working because my neighbour is an IT wizz. the instructions are on the web but i wasnt brainy enough to make it work without his help.

anyway the program does work but only stopped at 2014 models , so wouldnt recognise the 2.8 motor unfortunately. There may be later versions of techstream which may work but you need to be an IT wizz to update the existing sotware without the compulsory registration key.

Currently I am running Techstream Version 10.29.30 and works with 1GD Engine. I did have the same issue as connecting but unable to view live data etc. The DLC3 interface was a cheap ebay version, I ordered a original Xhorse DLC3 device which works correctly allowing all data to be viewed. I did try the cheap ebay DLC3 device with a later version of techstream but still had the same issues.

ah thanks , so that is the trick - buy the proper Xhorse cable. The ebay version comes loaded with a Trojan as well , but the antivirus sorted that out.

Guys I hope you're having better luck with UOBDii than I am. I bought the more expensive VXG NANO cable and it doesn't work. Twice now I've taken time off work to let their 'engineers' log in remotely to fix the problem. Each time they log in, they reinstall the driver then stay logged in and do absolutely nothing. Won't respond to chat, no movement, nothing. For two hours before I disconnect. They are probably scanning my home network or routing some sort of cyber attack through my connection - who knows. Extremely unhelpful, I would recommend staying well away from these thieves.

Mate I gave up and so did they eventually.
Was home crook with man flu last week, so gave them all the time in the world, eventually they just said 'your vehicle is not supported, get new vehicle'.
Car plugs in at my local Ultratune just fine.

What operating system do you have on the computer? It has to be a 32bit one, can't be 64bit.
