I feel your pain.
If you release the key from the holder you can then open the transponder by inserting the key blade into a recess and twisting the key. This is the same way you change the batterywe .
Once open you can pull the silicone seal out from the buttons. Then grab the l
ittle post on the back of the panic button with some needle nose pliers and break it off. It comes off very easily. Literally a 2 minute job.
