Smart key panic button disable

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to disable the panic button on the gen8 smart key? It's quite easy to set it off with your keys in your pocket and a bit embarrassing at times.

I feel your pain.

If you release the key from the holder you can then open the transponder by inserting the key blade into a recess and twisting the key. This is the same way you change the batterywe .
Once open you can pull the silicone seal out from the buttons. Then grab the l
ittle post on the back of the panic button with some needle nose pliers and break it off. It comes off very easily. Literally a 2 minute job.
