Has anybody managed to find a pid for fuel level? Interested in what the tank is telling the ecu

Hmmm no Stiff , has never worked for me, wouild like to know too

I dont think fuel level is available by the standard OBD2 protocols.

However, there's a "toyota network A" bus that runs and can be accessed ... except that the softare I use wasn't able to ... because the 1GRFE it thinks its talking to, it thinks is an FJ cruiser ECU - and has no data on the 1GRFE Hilux ECU variant. That was a couple years ago though.

Thanks Qwerty, yeah I’ve got access to the network A, but I can’t find fuel level anywhere either. Just curious because the OBDII tells me my trip economy was 11.7, yet the dash is telling me 13.2. Another reason that the dash lies to us regarding fuel level, fuel usage and distance to empty (as mentioned here in other threads.)
Would be nice to know what actual percentage of fuel the tank has left. The ECU has to know the truth...

ha ha every time i've done some manual calculations on fuel - it's come out worse than the dash so i stick my fingers in my ears and remind myself all the power and torque comes at a cost and to enjoy life

And I agree, there's obviously a fuel tank sender - and a fuel rate metric, would be great to see them as digital readings -

What about trans converter lockup PID? Or an engine oil pressure Pid?

I’ve managed to find DPF in and out as well as delta pressure which is the pressure difference between in and out, effectively the pressure should build when the DPF starts to become full or needs a burn, might be an effective way to keep an eye on it.

Maybe? I found a few sensors here http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t ... e-app.html.
The fuel level is listed as 2129 (I guess that's mode 21 pid 29), header 7C0, formula A * 500 / 3785 giving u.s. gallons. I changed it to A * 0.5 to get litres, it seems to work ok and corresponds with the fuel gauge but I've only played around with it for a minute.

Can anyone tell me the details for the sensors used for roll and pitch please? They're not shown in the app I'm using at the moment. Would be fairly interesting when out on the trails.
