Hilux Brakes

Postby jogal on Wed, 10 Feb 2010 7:07 +0000

So there is a recall on the Prius brakes, after watching the news this morning the recall was due to over 100 people complaining about the brakes. Now i know im not the only one here that thinks our brakes are shit so i think we could easily get over 100 to complain about our brakes maybe we can get better brakes sorted for the hilux's. :!:

I reckon a template letter, saying "I don't like my sh!thouse brakes.......blah,blah,blah". This could be emailed in word format or just copied off a post on the forum, and everyone can put in their personal and vehicle details and then we bombard toyota all at once with our wingey winey letters. It'll only take a bit of work by one person cough..jogal......cough..cough :D and then everyone can access the template letter. :| :)

You would be best off using the reporting form from the Department of Infastructure, transport, Regional development and local Government. See link below.

http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/ ... t_Form.pdf

Send to both Toyota and Department of Bla Bla Bla. And posibly your stealer.

petirions will get you know ware. Use the form above with as many as you can get to send it in, or get a solisitor to draw a letter for you noteing the relevant standards, codes of practice, regulations or legislation that are breached with your issue. A whole heap of name's will mean didilly squat to Toyota.

A letter would cost $100, 100 people send the letter it is only $1 each.

My brakes have been a lot better since I regularly started rolling backwards down a steep hill several times while pumping the brakes
