Extractors/Exhaust power gains?

Postby KClux on Mon, 24 Aug 2009 11:07 +0000

Hi guys wondering if anybody has put extractors and an exhaust on their 4.0l v6 or has information on the power that they could put out by doing that. Basically im wondering if i can push the engine over 200kw but keep it naturally aspirated and keep the fuel economy factory. Hopefully doing these mods could do that so has anybody got this info or no how to push it over 200kw without turbo or a supercharger.

Thanks guys would be great if anybody could give me any info at all :)

Feel free to move this post as im not sure whether this was the right area to post it.

Hey KC,

Check out these links...

Also, the search function is a pretty good way to find good info.

The V6 is a good motor, but a bit underdone out of the factory.

There a few options to get a lot more performance from the V6's.
A good set of extractors, a 2.5-3" mandrel bent exhaust, air intake and a good tune will see power well over 200KW's at thge flywheel.

Some companies have throttle body spacers for sale as well.

Good luck,
Matt

Sorry Mate, i typed the whole lot in not just exhaust mod so it was probably too specific, plus i am down to dialup speed at the mo and sometimes my searches don't even work. Cheers and thanks for the reply 8-)
