Dashlight 4X4

Postby Naci on Mon, 29 Jun 2009 10:27 +0000

After placing the ARB diff in the front my 4X4 light flashes. (it think it's something with the ADD)

What's the solution?

My car is a hilux DC manual 3.0D4D SR from 2007.

Kind Regards

Being an SR it won't have ADD will it. So you can rule that on out.

It surely does have ADD (it's actually an SR5) but in Europe they just call them SR.

The mechanic told me he need to place ADD in his 'neutral' position or something linke that.

Naci,

Sounds a bit strange and I reckon the ADD may not be functioning properly.

Jack up all four wheels and engage 4wd and see if the front wheels have drive to them.

If they don't and I suspect this may be the case check to see if the wiring is connected to the ADD, the mechanic may have left it off?

The other problem could be mechanical from the work the mechanic did, if that is the case take it back and get them to fix it.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

Problem solved!!
The connection at the ADD wasn't ok.
I could pull it out without any resistance.
I pushed it in until it said 'click' and problem was solved.
