2.7 power increases

hi fellas got one of the current 2.7 workmate hiluxes as a work truck. anyway i think the engine in it is the 2tr-fe so besides the standard achieve bugger all k&n airfillter and extractors with custom pipe system which i may do just coz im a revhead and i recon i could get a good tune out of her. does anyone know if there is an aftermarket ecu or chip to get more outa these 4 banggas or if the engine internals are tuff enough to stand up to turbocharging or supercharging. im thinking that these engines should be able to put out heaps more kilowasps than they do from standard. if theres any knowlege id love ta know it. cheers fellas

Why didn't you just buy a V6 Hilux?

No use kicking a dead horse.

Sure you can force induct it but what about gearbox, diff, brakes, suspension.....they aren't a race car.

Should still be able to push it a fiar bit, Just check what running gear is going to be affected.

I'd think you easily be able to add an extra 20kws with no majour issues. Filter and Exhaust will be a start, no idea on chips for 2.7l, turbo's.... maybe check out some ricer forums that have a similar motor etc...
