Using 4H on the highway for about 200km (rear shaft removed)

Postby fkrois on Sat, 11 Jun 2022 2:35 +0000

Hey!

I have done this a few times off road with no issues when I had to.
I now have to move my truck about 200k over the highway with a mangled rear shaft center mount.

I was planing on taking the rear shaft down ans doing it in 4H with FWD only.

2006 mk7 2,5l with 75kw

Any reason why this is a bad idea? Transfer case? Front diff?

Thx everyone

No problem, it drives like a FWD vehicle. I've done it a few times.
I might be wrong.
