I have entered a mine field deciding to install this kit in my 2005 KUN26R. Although the supplier was aware that the pressure plate OD fouled the ID of some Bell Housings they shipped a unit that was unmodified to rectify this problem.
The supplier has despatched a replacement pressure plate which has had the OD machined to provide improved clearance within the Bell Housing.
That is not end of the saga, the clutch pack height is 8mm different to the clutch that has been removed. My mechanic is suggesting shimming the clutch fork pivot height to overcome the dimension difference.
What are members thoughts on taking this remedial action?
