Shudder after new clutch installed

Postby Mattmatusik on Thu, 13 Aug 2020 3:56 +0000

I just got a new clutch and as soon I hit about 80 km/h with foot straight to the floor it shudders going from 4th to 5th. Ease off a bit and it’s fine

Sounds like driveshaft hasn't been phased correctly

Driveline shudder

Postby Mattmatusik on Thu, 20 Aug 2020 8:55 +0000

Hi guys
Had a new clutch put in, now there is a shudder when I am in 4th with my foot to the ground. Mechanic said he made sure tailshaft was in properly and correct so she was balanced. Now he is saying injector codes due to the battery being disconnected.

Tell him he's dreaming! Injector codes don't change because you disconnected the battery! I would be very wary of any mechanic who told me such nonsense, and as to tailshaft balance, get another opinion.
I think Cambo knows his stuff! ;)
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

x2 - I agree with the suggestion that you driveshaft is out of phase. His injector codes talk is BS

I agree that it’s not the injectors. I’ve got her booked in here for a check over on Monday at another place.
