Transfer Case and Gearbox breathers

Postby TDOS105 on Wed, 08 Apr 2020 6:16 +0000

Hello,

Just bought a breather kit 4way for FD, RD, GB, TC.
I have just ran the rear diff today havnt had a chance to look for front diff

Im struggling to find where the GB and TC Breathers are.

I have a 2014 SR Hilux

Some photos suggest they are with the cabin underneath the actual TC shifter and also underneath the Automatic Lever for gearbox.

Any photos or suggestions please advise.

Thank you

TDOS105,

Whereabouts are you located? As I own a 2012 SR5 and i am looking at installing the same gear on my car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I put a new clutch in my 2008 today and found the 2 small breather tubes on top of the transmission have no hoses attached to them .

what was there as standard ?

the breather tubes are clean while the gearbox is dirty indicating the breathers have recently been removed.

I had a service done on the vehicle 2 months ago so I am wondering w.t.h. The mechanic did with my old breather tubes ?

What is originally there ?
