Thrust bearing fix?

gday guys
so my hilux at 96000km's has started to get the squeak from the thrust bearing. its an 05 so iam out of warrenty on the old girl. I know i could drop the box and replace the clutch. but is there any other fixes??

Also i heard that you dont need to drop the box out??????? but that was from a nissan dealer :lol: Anybody got any info on that?

any help would be great cheers

I have only done thrust bearing replacement with out removing the gearbox on forklifts and dozer's. Never seen a collapsible input shaft on a ute or road going truck. I think you nissan dealer has his hand on it !

I would tend to agree with Tasibrett. The few gearbox/clutch jobs I've done all involve the removal of the gearbox.
IF A MAN TALKS IN THE FOREST AND THERE IS NO WOMAN TO HEAR HIM, IS HE STILL WRONG?
