Clutch help/advice

Hello,

The clutch is slowing dying in my 2012 SR5. It is the original clutch and has 250,000km on it.

I dare say if a get another week out of it, it would be a miracle. I am looking for people recommendations on getting a new clutch kit put into the car.

I would like to future proof the vehicle as much as possible, so I would like to get peoples input on the most heavy duty/extreme clutch kit that is out there. I am not concerned if it is heavy on the foot, I want something that is going to cop a ton of punishment and abuse and keep going, not that I am going to do that, but I want that part of the gearbox to be bulletproof.

Apologies if I have waffled on a bit, but I look at all the websites, and they all say, “Mine is the best”, or “Most heavy duty”

I just want to cut through the bullshit.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I hear you. Stock parts are great if you can get them at a good price.

NPC, 4terrain (currently have one fitted) and exedy are also decent options.

NPC is the best on the market from the research I have done. It's also the go to for performance upgrades.

Can't go wrong with NPC. Also comes with a flywheel to suit.

Just an update: My car made it until Thursday morning, I got 10km up the Hunter Expressway, before it said "F*** you Peter, call a towtruck"

It is not sitting in a gearbox shop in Newcastle awaiting to be pulled apart, so I am expecting a phone on either Monday or Tuesday.

Whilst it has the gearbox ripped out of it, I am looking to get the front and rear diffs serviced and have a four point diff breather kits installed.

As far as clutch kit goes, I am looking at the Exedy Safari Tuff installed.
